And Then There Were Two...

Week 13 (Game 12) has begun. Actually, it has already come and gone for the Packers and the Cowboys. After last night’s game a few things are very evident. The ‘Boys have solidified their position and are THE team to beat in the NFC. At 11-1 and their only loss coming at the hands of the undefeated Patriots, Dallas is revisiting it’s glory days. They have never been this good. Tony Romo is p.....

Feeleydelphia

Philadelphia has gone crazy over A.J. Feeley. A general feeling I get from other Iggles fans, is that they are done with McNabb, and want Feeley to remain as the starter. Now most people realize that A.J. Feeley is not the next Tom Brady, but that is not what this is about. The city of Philadelphia hates Donovan McNabb.

During the 2004 season Donovan could have probably run for mayor, and won. .....

Poised To Make A Run

The recent loss to the New England Patriots was disappointing. However it did leave me with a great sense of confidence for the remainder of the season. If the Eagles can play this well against the NFL’s best team, then why can’t they win the five remaining games?

Now you might say that I am being a blind homer here, but really think about it. The five games left are against the Seahawks, Giant.....

NFL Network vs. Cable Companies – Fans Are The Losers

Cowboys 10-1. Packers 10-1. They meet Thursday night in what should decide home field advantage for the NFC. Two of America’s favorite teams are getting ready to “strap it on” and do battle in Dallas, Texas. Can’t wait?

Well unless you subscribe to a satellite service like DirectTv or The DISH Network you’ll be relegated to late night highlights on your favorite sports show or reading about it .....

No Controversy, McNabb is the Starter

Despite the solid play of QB A.J. Sunday night against New England, Donovan McNabb is still Andy Reid’s guy. When asked about whether McNabb would remain the starting QB, Andy Reid answered with a simple ‘yes’.Reid is right about this. When Donovan McNabb is healthy, he will and should return to being the starting QB.

Feeley has been solid in relief, but that is what he is, a good backup. Feele.....

Eagles Go Down Swinging

The Eagles fought to the end, but in the end they wind up on the losing to the still undefeated New England Patriots, 31-28. The Birds were actually 24 point dogs going into this game, and nobody thought(even me) that they had any shot of winning this game against New England. Nobody except the team. They came in with a great game plan, and out to prove to the world that they could hang with the b.....

Eagles Scalp Skins

Goal Line Stand Saved Season:

The Eagles defense had been on it's heels most of the game. The defensive line had gotten almost no pressure to this point, the secondary was brutal, and the linebackers were missing tackles.

The Redskins had a first and goal at the 2 yard line, after Donovan McNabb fumbled the ball a few play before. A Redskins score would put them up 9, and would have like.....

Reid and McNabb Deserve a Pass

Get Rid Of Reid?:

The Eagles are off to a dreadful start this season. I doubt anybody expected a 3-5 record to this point of the season. While everybody is searching for answers, let me remind them of this.

Andy Reid is a great coach. Take a look at his body of work in Philadelphia.

In 2006, Reid overcame a 5-6 start and the loss of two of their most explosive players in quarterback Don.....

Cowboys Embarrass Eagles 38-17

T.O. Gets His Revenge:

Eagles vs T.O. round 2 was a huge victory for WR Terrell Owens. T.O. stuck it to the Eagles by catching 10 passes for 174 yards, including a 45 yard touch down. He was a difference maker, and the Eagles secondary was pathetic trying to stop him.

Last year the Eagles shut down Owens in his return to the Linc, but this time T.O. gets his. As much as it pains me to say it.....

Some Future For Our Pastime

Surprisingly, the emotions that came with the news that the MLB might be using instant replay for home runs were not at all mixed. Most people seem to agree that using replay in baseball is a good thing. Bud Selig is not one of those people, but he might not have a choice in the matter. In his attempts to globalize and expand the sport, this is the next step in bringing baseball into the 21st cent.....

Leonardo Andam The Rattlesnake

One of my good friends, Leonardo “Dodong” Andam, a.k.a. The Rattlesnake/Dodong Dadiangas, played against one of Pasay City’s most notable billiard players, Roberto Dy, aka Bert Pasay, at the AMF-Superbowl, home of the Makati Pool Players Association (MAPPA). The match was a race to 15 game with a 7,10 handicap given by Dodong to Bert Pasay.

The first half of the game was characterized by inten.....
